Yes For Chess teaches students in grades 1-5 how to play chess and become better chess players. Each class is 1hr long with the first half hour dedicated to a lesson and the second half hour to playing chess and practicing what was learned. Each lesson introduces a topic and covers several puzzles pertaining to the topic to allow children to participate and deepen their understanding of the topic. We are excited to introduce that this school year, the first session will focus on Openings, Checkmates, and Endgames. The second session will focus on Tactics, Terminology, and Calculation.

Who: Students in Grades 1st through 5th. All skill levels welcome!
